If that's all you get, then your Irix CONSOLE Output is on a different serial port than your L1 console.  Please see my Fuel repair thread on this.

You will need to attach null modem serial cables to multiple ports at once and start multiple terminal screens then AC power your Tezro, they will merge BACK to default (crt+t/Ctrl+d) for CONSOLE serial port once you do your reinit your settings.  But for now, you have two separate outputs you need to manage simultaneously.

My personal experience is HOT PLUGGING the serial lines DOES NOT WORK, you need to be attached before things begin.  Likely you want Serial 1 and serial CONSOLE, but you may need to try all ports until you find your PROM CONSOLE output...

Cables ordered, haven't had to use null modem cables, well since I had a good old USR modem, like 22 years ago.

RE: tezro problems
The tezro does a funny thing during boot, where it switches to a sync on green analog output and switches back to a digital output once the OS comes up.

This will cause you to have trouble trying to install a new OS, as it outputs an analog output in inst!

Try using a DVI to VGA converter.

If you have a DCD fitted, then the display output on the DCD remains digital during get boot process

RE: tezro problems
Yes, native Tezro is DVI-A. But you need a DVI-I cable and monitor due to aforementioned switching from DVI-A to DVI-D and back again at times.

Also, we’re you replacing your RTC in this adventure? I noticed the NVRAM error during first boot to reinit. Did you just put a modular battery L1 RTC replacement in?

I have one that I got for my Fuel, haven't put it in yet, was just trying to get the system up and running. Ordered the other battery for the IO9 card as well..
