RE: tezro problems
Wow, really terrible you had so many bad boards, unheard of!
Glad you have a working system after all your troubles!
A part of me would really love to get my hands on those bad boards and try to see what in the world happened to them. Another part of me wants to just leave it alone and move on with the projects I do have.
I hope this is not a foreshadowing of things to come, we don’t need IO9 boards either going bad or somebody flooding the market with bad boards and causing issues like this for owners.

RE: tezro problems
Well the first board I bought as a replacement has damaged qlogic chip - it's visible from the photo. I got a full refund for it, so everything is ok.
My original IO9 got its scsi chip fried. I think I've tried to connect external devices long time ago and probably something went wrong...

RE: tezro problems
I looked a little while ago and you could still get the actual SCSI controller chip on eBay as new old stock. It was a pretty popular chip. Obviously I don’t have enough BGA rework experience to know how easy or hard that might be for one time shot. but given the value of it, I think it be worth trying.

It's a good idea, i could get the missing capacitors from my board and then purchase the qlogic chip and try to replace it on the damaged one.
