NEED a working Fuel V12 030-1726-005 graphics card to repair other cards!
Hi All,
I have a client who's sent me several broken, partially functioning, SGI Fuel V12 030-1726-005 cards. Most seem to have memory errors (which MIGHT be true) but a couple have something else. None of them work 100% but are at least recognized by a Fuel PROM. I need a working 030-1726-005 card to compare readings against to try to fix the others. It wouldn't be fair of me to ask for this as a loaner because something could happen to it and then it might not be returned back. But I don't intend to keep it for the long-haul either. But I can buy it and then resell it later if everything works out.
I'm willing to spend $500 for one, if we're close to a number then please just tell me what your price is.
Please reach out. I do have one Fuel V12 030-1726-006 that needs repair as well but I'm not willing to spend much for it because I only have one for repair. Where I have several of the other model. However if you're feeling generous please let me know if you own a Fuel V12 card regardless that you're willing to sell, I may still be interested for future repairs.
Thanks!
Update: I've sent emails to most known distributors, what I've heard back so far is they don't have these cards at all...still hoping someone out there does.

I don't have one, but I just wanted to say that SD-RAM is very likely the first failure point for cards of this generation. Lately in the retro-PC hardware world, many youtube repairers have been replacing SD-RAM on pre-2000 AGP graphics cards. So from what I gather, SD-RAM isn't something that lasts forever. Other than that, old cards usually need their VGA bioses re-flashed, but I don't think these Vpro boards have any such thing.
