I went through a Craft Beer, and Trappist beer fetish from 2005 till 2008 trying to find the weirdest hard to find stuff.

Westvleteren 12 is still to this day the hands down loveliest quad on Earth.

Rochefort 8 is a nice cheap easier to find triple Belgium.

My brother lives in Santa Rosa so I junked out on the Russian River offerings and still love to get the hoppy Pliny the Elder and the very very hoppy Pliny the Younger in the seasonal brews.

Never did get to try any of the Surly beers since they don't distribute.

Developed a weird fetish for Big Wave and any beers where they feed the Yeast honey instead of sugar. Not amazing but a nice session bubbles with nice after taste.

Tried all the Chimay, Achel, Orval, usual US coastal store find trappists. Gulden Drak actually strangely good and terrible at the same time.

Currently, years later I prefer session beers like 805 to my older seeking the most extravagant taste experience paired with breads, cheeses, etc.

805 is like the top of the bottom. haha. I only do it a couple times a year. I'll bring them to a bbq or something.

I could list beers for an hour. These were the first to come to mind.

Tonight I thought I would try some ERDINGER Dunkel, it's rather plain, but not too bad!

I love Erdinger Dunkel, plus a lot of the darker wheat beers. Unfortunately a lot of them are hard to get outside Germany. Thankfully as my wife is German, we often visit, plus my sister in law often visits the UK with their car (they have a dog) so usually bring a boot-load of nice beers with them Smile

I’m with you on this one! Dark ales and wheat bears are my favourite! We get loads of locals bears down here from Bath Ales and Glastonbury...they do a good brew down south... expensive though at £3 a bottle of 500ml.

No longer active. Please do not contact me.

Another extremely good beer! I would definitely recommend this, as it's definitely one of the best beer's I've ever sampled!
