Coffee Anyone?

RE: Coffee Anyone?
Beautiful presentation Irinikus, and a top form of Joe for the first one! Prep diffs for me would use crushed hazelnuts in the grounds + cane syrup or honey as opposed to the flavored syrup.

I must admit though, being from the middle of the US and listening to a calm, even tempo SA accent, I kept expecting to see a buggy-alien hand like from District9 in there. I mean no offense, was just funny to me. Maybe a Halloween edit is in order. ?? Biggrin

I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

I'll certainly have to give the crushed hazelnuts a try! Smile I think that I actually made a pure hazelnut espresso (just ground hazelnuts, no coffee) in the past and the results were rather interesting!

As for the halloween twist, maybe I can work something into a future video, who knows. Smile

RE: Coffee Anyone?
I am never a coffee black kind of guy. I like Caps and Lattes BUT... with a siphon coffee I don't put anything in it.
The particular way siphon works makes the coffee taste quite neutral so I always sip on it straight.

We have a few in Los Angeles but the best one I have ever had was in Salt Lake City UT by far. Choice of bean, grind, and technique was stated as reason why it is so particular.

RE: Coffee Anyone?
I don't really drink coffee but I do love myself some tea or some hot chocolate. Not against coffee by any means I just find the majority of it to be unpleasantly bitter. Hot tea is always been my preferred morning drink and in the evenings if I'm cold I like to have hot chocolate with some booze in it, for instance peppermint schnapps.

I have to say that it seems as though that Theresia is to regular coffee makers as a Tezro is to a regular PC... 👍☕

They are rather rare and are hand-build to order.

It’s a truly good machine and definitely one that I would recommend to anyone who truly loves coffee.

In a weeks time, I should be in Cape Town so I’ll see if l can’t video it in action. (Let’s see.)

RE: Coffee Anyone?
I have a bog standard Gaggia Classic i use for my Sat/Sun coffee. Don't have time during the week so it only gets used on weekends.

Pretty basic but it makes a nice shot if coffee, which I tend to have as a latte. Needs a better steam wand though, the standard one is pretty meh!

Uh oh indeed.  I read that while drinking black coffee.  Needless to say, I strongly disagree with the headline!

For the record, I also drink tea (preferably Earl Grey) and I strongly support Raion's suggestion for hot chocolate + peppermint schnapps (but for me that'd be more of "special occasion" thing).  It all depends on my mood and the circumstances.  Maybe I'm not that much of psychopath after all.

Ever since my French press broke I have been stuck with Keurig madness at work and the old Mr Coffee on the weekends. Better than no coffee I suppose.
