RE: Day job
Late to this thread, because I'm a new-ish user, but my day job is a Software Engineer. So I love tech, and am a gearhead. But also, I remember how cool SGI boxes where when I was a kid, and I definitely lusted after them. So now that they're obsolete, I am drawn to owning them as a hobby. I'll probably dabble with some Open/IrisGL coding, and 3D modelling with Blender.

Octane 2x250 R10k, 1152 MB Ram, 6.5.30, SSE/SSI Dual Head ("unsupported" but it works Biggrin)
O2 300 RM5200, 256 MB Ram
Indigo 100 R4000, Unknown Ram, XS24Z Bad Tod Clock Battery awaiting my desolder/replacement
Altix 350 x2 4x1.6 GHz, 1xBase, 1xCompute No OS (yet; no time to fiddle)
