Your persistence is admirable Irinikus, Obi Wan has taught you well... 😃

Thanks man! 😎

Diligence is the name of the the game, when it comes to tasks such as this one! (It's incredibly time consuming, as you have to work with thousands of individual vertices, and have solid mental picture as well as a very steady hand while doing so!)

No more work on it today unfortunately, as I was out flying (working) the whole day today! (I'm usually free over the weekends, and use that time to work on projects such as this one!)

I’ll get back on it sometime next week!

A bit off-topic but I always wanted to be a pilot too, I was in Air Force ROTC my first two years at the University of Minnesota, scored in the 95th percentile of the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test pilot/navigator section, but after I got back from summer training between my sophomore and junior year, I found out that none of the seniors who had graduated the previous spring and who had been slated for pilot training had actually been assigned to flight school, they were, like supply officers or some such useless crap. So I boxed up my uniforms, handed them in and never looked back. 😔

It seems that most militaries aren't forthcoming when it comes to their plans for you (Career planning is usually cryptic at best!), which can be distressing, especially when you're goal orientated and have dreams!

In Brazil, if you pass the exams, you are most certainly going to get breveted and some fun hours during the Air Force Academy years.

But then, our Air Force is not exactly numerous, especially for the number of offices, so after you graduate the number of flown hours reduces a lot. Quite frequently, after the minimum service time (if you leave the Air Force before 7 years, you must refund the State for your education), folks leave and join some airline.

The thing is... I'm not sure how it works abroad, but our military academies are your full time university, so you won't be doing anything else. =)

Here in the United States, in the five service academies and in reserve officer training corps (at civilian universities), you're free to walk with no penalty any time during your freshman and sophomore year. If you bail during your junior or senior year, you're required to serve as an enlisted soldier for several (not sure how many) years, but you do not owe any financial recompense.

Our rule was implemented after folks would join and then drop after brevet, earning basically free flight school and leaving the branch unstaffed.

I managed to get around to doing some work on this model this morning, it's been quite a while!

Your determination is admirable!

I've always thought blender is a great vertex editor, but terrible at NURBS.

I should probably look again, that might have changed since the last time I used it, I was using it as a previz for the design of a pepperpot muzzle brake for the M8 Thunderbolt, in the end I gave up and did the design in Pro/E. I hate Pro/E with the white-hot flame of a thousand burning suns... 🤪
