I am still trying to fix my cd rom, i was searching on the net on how to eject and close my cdrom from irix terminal.
Writing 'eject ' opens the tray but anyone knows how to close with console command the cdrom? Thanks!

Nope, you gently push the tray the first 1”. No close I ever found on my DVDROM O2.

Try 'inject' from console

Try 'inject' from console

That would be great if that works, problem is you still cannot use commands when you are installing Irix or in the miniroot (as I recall, diminished command set).  So it's obvious they expected the button to work in all cases.  I used the eject pin hole while installing (I think), since it aligned for me.
