My Power Mac G3 has arrived and it's a pretty good example of the machine. 





Like with virtually every other machine I've ever bought, I will still have to import a few parts to get it to a "perfect" status, but it certainly is a good start though!

My G4 is running MorphOS and it's quite impressive how fast and responsive it is.

No cracks on a G3? You are very lucky, congratulations. Mine has very bad condition plastics... but runs solid with MacOS 8.6.

However, it's not absolutely perfect (even though it's the best example I've seen) as it does have two small cracks in the rear foot (which seem to be typical for these machines) So I might have to buy another complete machine just to get a perfect rear foot to complete this machine, as imperfection really bothers me!!!

I also want a zip drive with the appropriate front bezel for the machine, so this is indeed going to be a project!!!

I think that the problem that exists here is that the formulation of the plastics used are prone to shrinkage as they age and they start to crack due to internal stresses, as well as the stresses placed on them by the hex bolts. (I have loosened the hex bolts on the side panels to be finger tight, to avoid future cracks.)

This thing's pretty well made! (Sealed up with epoxy and everything) But they're like nuclear weapons when they leak though!

I absolutely love how Irinikus has "complete" lines of specific machines. I imagine some parts of your home are like a computer museum.
