And, at least in your case, the 4D60T lost its price-performance-advantage versus the Indigo 2 High Impact in our time... Joy

You win some and loose some, what can I say!!!! (My card cost me almost as much as my entire MAX IMPACT machine did!!!!)

Here's the link to the PDF: https://www.hpl.hp.com/hpjournal/dtj/vol...m4art4.pdf

It does transform the AlphaStation into quite a capable machine, which is awesome!

Thank you, mate!

I've added it to my graphics architecture paper collection!

Hi everybody,

For an impression of how well this graphics adapter is working with modern displays, please see the attached image.

The machine is a 164SX with 21164PC@533MHz with 256 MB RAM, and the 4D60T is powering the display with 1920x1080@75.

That is easiliy one of the most effective investments of my retro-computing career (with the probable exception of my Octane).

Here are some pictures showing a 4D60T with a Lynx II geometry accelerator card:

So I'm still hoping that I can pair the baby with mine:

Here is the document showing that the Lynx 4 can be paired with the ZX25 and VX25 cards, which are basically the same thing: (Higher clocks though!)

Here the 4D60T is paired with a geometry card inside a DEC machine, so the driver must support it:

Let's cross fingers that it works in your machine.

The only problem I see is that the NT driver might not support it. The EV67 - as far as I can tell - cannot run NT.

If the information in the paper is correct and the Lynx 4 is from before the year 2000, we might be lucky, though.

Otherwise we might need to use VMS or something.

Realizm... now I get why my 3Dlabs Wildcat 800 looks so similar to these boards - 3Dlabs bought a part of Intergraph
