Intergraph PowerStorm 4D60T running in an AlphaStation 255 300

I think yes!
If you buy the other one, I can arrange shipping for you, since the thin isn't that far from where I live!
And I guess the guy will be freaking out if both cards get sold in  one day! Nervous

No! The black VGA port is a VGA input port.

You can couple up to three of them to a geometry accelerator card to give you multi screen support.

By the way, I have found some documentation showing that this card is compatible with the Lynx 4 geometry accelerator card.

I’m just not sure if the Alpha driver will support it!

I’ll soon find out though!

It looks like it wasn’t part of DEC’s philosophy to pair a geometry card with their 4DT cards as they had faith in the Alpa Processor’s ability to do the required geometry and lighting calculations!

I’ll have to look for a wildcat 4300 to pair with my geometry card and see what performance I can get out of a Pentium system with that setup!

So I won’t try to pair the geometry accelerator card with the 4D60T when it arrives! :(

Aw, man!

I hope you can get it to work with a Pentium box!

Ok, my 4D60T arrived in the mail today!

I will install it tonight and post about my experience with it.

I so hope that it actually supports the advertised 1920x1080@60Hz mode necessary for a FullHD display, as I cannot add another Monitor to my desk...

If that works, the Alpha can share a display with the Mac Mini.

I have found drivers for the Intense 3D Pro series for x86 machines! I wouldn’t mind building up a Pentium Pro machine with an Intense 3D Pro 3400 plus the Lynx 4 installed in it!

Oh my god! It's working!

The card was in a pristine condition, no dust, no grease. It even smelled new. I guess one does not get such an experience often, with hardware from the late nineties...

And it's a strange feeling, having so much space on the screen with NT4...

The bad news is that I need a new wallpaper...   Biggrin

Yeah, do this! I'd personally aim for dual Pentium Pro!

This is a discussion by DEC on their philosophy regarding geometry and lighting:

This is a performance comparison between this card and the SGI MAX IMPACT and HIGH IMPACT cards, and it fares extremely well!!!!

I'm extremely glad to see you've got it up and running! So what do you think of it?

Oh, that's an interesting paper! Do you have a complete PDF somewhere?

And, at least in your case, the 4D60T lost its price-performance-advantage versus the Indigo 2 High Impact in our time... Joy

I'ts extremely cool! I will test-drive it with Quake II as soon as I can find my asset files...

Thank you for checking this card out with Windows NT 4.0 AXP (and posting the card photos of it )! I owe you a beer, should we ever meet!
