Hi All,
I'm been seeing several O2s with SOLID RED LED

on boot appear on eBay lately and also from new users joining this site. As a research project for the future, I need an 180Mhz or 200Mhz R5200 O2 CPU board that knowingly produces a SOLID RED Startup LED (and goes no further) that just "happened". Not caused by physical damage or mishandling, just stopped working, when it used to work.
I have upgrade CPU boards for ALL my O2s and will eventually be replacing my working 200Mhz and 180Mhz CPUs with 300Mhz CPUs, but my old ones will work. So I can use them to compare a "known working" CPU board with a "problem CPU" board.
So If anyone wants to help the research, I'm willing to pay reasonable shipping costs for a "it just died one day" O2 R5200 CPU that you've already replaced and confirmed your replacement CPU made everything work again.
I'm hoping to confirm if this damage we've been seeing is on a peripheral component on the daughterboard, that can be repaired, or if the CPU itself is fried? Then we'd know enough to move forward with possible remedies.
