That's how you download any camera (including iPhone) photos. This is how you do it if you're machine is too old for Airdrop V2 compatibility.
Ha ha ha ha ha. Using an older macbook because I inherited it and the thinkpad finally died.
You
can't use fucking bluetooth to transfer photos from an iPhone to a Macbook because Apple decided this was "too risky." This works fine from a
non Apple phone but not from an iPhone. Good idea, Cupertino retards. And iPhones don't have SD cards of any type.
Fuck them.
Hooking up the usb cable worked okay for a while (annoying as all hell because the piece of shit
insisted on starting up
on top of the damn desktop when you plug it in and every five minutes thereafter
and that worhless piece of crap iPhoto doesn't let you just drag the photos you want to a folder you want,
nooooo you have to use whatever stupid-ass location some twat in Cupertino wants instead then copy paste AGAIN from there, but it did work. Annoying and laborious but did work.
No, I didn't use the terminal because even finding where anything
is on this thin white bowl of vomit is a major hassle. "Thin ! thin ! Jonny likes thin ! We don't give a damn if it functions as a computer as long as its
thin !"
Thanks so much.
Until the Assistant insisted on letting Apple "update" the iPhone so now it
doesn't work at all. And despite the five hundred posts I have read about "cannot be imported because device is locked with a passcode" none of the methods recommended actually
work. The one aftermarket driver that
might work is no longer available, "your device is too old."
Of course, both devices have Air Drop which like everything from Apple also
does not work.
The software on this thing is such a pile of trash. If I wouldn't get my throat cut for this, I'd rip the garbage software off this thing (hardware is okay) and put Windows 2000 on it. Or Windows for Workgroups 3.1. Or goddamned DOS 3.3.
ANYTHING would be better. Even Plan 9.
And which drooling retards took the CD drives out of laptops ? Ignorant shitheads, they need a 17" Dell driven up their posteriors, sideways.
And oh yeah, the Finder is SHIT. PURE SHIT. Firefox habitually locks this thing up harder than a whore's heart. Even a bad CD can do that. There's a whole bunch of activities that can either crash or freeze the desktop. Even stupid Preview is easy to crash. I should make a video ... click click click click crash. Click click click click crash. Oh look, wasn't that fun, just like 1980 all over again.
Macos aka OS X is such a stinking pile of worthless garbage, Tim Cook can perform an unmentionable act upon himself with a giant black rubber utensil. Except he'd probably like it.
Garbage. Pure unspeakable disgusting garbage.
"But it's yeeewwwwwnix !" gag me with a spoon. And my grandma is Sophia Loren. Hell, my Uncle Bruce in drag is Sophia Loren. If you believe that, I can get you a great deal on a bridge.
The icons are pretty, that's
all that Apple has going for it. And oh, the newer ones are
even worse. Who thought up this
stewpid shit about no buttons on the mousepad. None at all.
What a pile of crap.
I didn't try this, vish, but the place where we got the monitor (Assistant likes style) can put any version you want onto the disk drive. You can't install newer os'es on the older hardware, but if you direct-copy to the drive, the newer (post 10.7.5) os runs fine. (He said. I didn't try.) If that turned out to be true I'd be even more pissed. So I didn't try. No point in creating your own aneurism, just using this pos is bad enough.
If you actually want a computer, Apple is the worst possible choice. If I could find one nearby, I'd trade this pos in a heartbeat for an r5-180 Indy. Hell, I'd be better off with a Compaq Luggable than this disgusting thing.
