All the hold-down screws are in the same place. I have no idea why there's any difference at all, makes no sense but ....
Overe here there were a lot of altixes for nothing but no O350's at all and shipping can be prohibitive for big heavy steel boxes, so .....
Is mopar still out there, btw ? Super deals, super guy.
I do have a spare Altix 350 case from a cheap parts system I found on eBay, but it's fairly battered. Really, all I need is the board, though, as I do have the case from my prototype Onyx350 here - the goal is to restore that system, after all. If I got an expansion unit, with or without a node board, it would be used for parts unless/until I can restore this broken 2U Interface board that I already have. At that point, I'd probably build it back out with a node board and find either an IO9 to use it independently (maybe as an Onyx350) or as part of the Onyx4 setup if I could get a NUMALink router.
Edit: I can't speak to Mopar, as I don't think I've even heard the name during my (still brief) time in the SGI community. If there's someone out here on the US east coast with a good parts stock at a good price, my wallet will likely be even more unhappy with me going forward.
