That thing is pretty cool! I might need to pick one up myself.

They're a bit pricey, but it's worth it to have an XT that I don't have to worry about dying anytime soon. Brand new components (outside of the new-old-stock ICs), with all the convenience of solid state storage and on-board devices. All it really needs is a GoTek and you've got a usable computer. I'll probably add an Adlib and a 360K floppy at some point as well. Maybe pick up a CGA card for the few programs that don't like the on-board Trident's CGA mode.

RE: Latest purchase?
Last month I purchased a Lenovo Legion Y740 laptop to learn Unreal, Blender and CryEngine development.

Looking to get into collecting and learning SGI computers. Alas, living in Colorado is not favorable I am finding out.

Ah! I should still have a Nokia N770 somewhere. Received as an xmas gizmo from $work way back. Interesting little device, but not very useful.

I have the 770 since 2006. I required some work to make it useful and it was painfully slow (and it never supported EDUROAM network). But I used it as my main pocket computer for 4-5 years without main issues (WWW browsing, e-mail, document writing and even for some programming). PDA functionality was available via GPE Project applications (calendar, todo,..).

The N900 is much better - many things works out of the box and it is WAY faster. There is a nice camera (at least for a phone), too. Today there are compatibility issues, of course (there is no longer Google synchronization or working Evernote client and so).

RE: Latest purchase?
I got myself some cool stuff for Christmas while drunkenly browsing eBay. I got an iPad 7th generation and the pencil that goes with it mostly for paperless notes, reading PDFs, and YouTube in bed. I already got the tablet and I like it a lot (posting from it now). I also picked up a PowerBook G4 17 inch 1.33GHz with 1GB RAM. I also got an mSATA adapter and I already have a 120GB SSD that I’m going to put in it. I plan on installing OS X 10.4.11. All that should be here before the new year.
