SCSI2SD v6 DMA error (Indy)

SCSI2SD v6 DMA error (Indy)
I've got a new-to-me Indy that I want to put a new SCSI2SD v6 into. The machine had a IBM drive prior, which passed power-on diagnostics but would not load the OS (it had Gentoo linux on it, fwiw).

Now, with the SCSI2SD v6 I get a diagnostic error "Device 1 failed DMA test." I ensured the latest firmware is on the device (and tried the previous 4 versions for good measure). I do not have termination enabled (using what appears to be an original cable with a terminator) and otherwise have default settings (but have tried toggling just about everything).

For what it's worth, even with the error I was able to partition the drive using fx (via bootp), but the network install promptly failed due to a system disk issue.

Does anyone have any tips for troubleshooting this error? SCSI2SD v6's are known to work with the Indy as well as previous versions.

Any help/tips would be most appreciated!

RE: SCSI2SD v6 DMA error (Indy)
Do you have termination on both sides of the SCSI chain? Set ID to 1?
Not sure what other parameters to set in a V6 ...

The rear SCSI connector is part of the internal SCSI bus, because the Indy only has one SCSI controller so it needs to service both internal and external devices,: therefore please terminate the external connector as well.

SCSI2SD's don't like a second device attached, like external CDROM players, so make sure you leave the SCSI2SD as the sole SCSI device.

I did have the internal terminator installed, but not one on the external connector. I will try to acquire one and install it. The SCSI2SD was set to device 1, parity, and Fast SCSI mode (honestly toggled just about everything in hopes of fixing this).

On further inspection, the SCSI2SD is also throwing a self-test fault, so I'm going to RMA it. Fingers crossed that fixes all (with more termination for good measure).
