How do you connect a CrystalEyes emitter to an Onyx?
I've noticed that Ian Mapleson is selling various CrystalEyes emitters, so I googled pictures of them and I noticed that all of them end with a mini-DIN plug. This makes it it obvious how to connect them to, for example, an Indigo2, but what about an Onyx2? I've read the Onyx2 manual, and the connector marked "Stereo View" is a DB-9 port.
Ian Mapleson's page mentions a "link cable for Indy-type 3pin port". So what do I have to look for? A different cable? A mini-DIN->DB9 adaptor?

Okay, after further Google searches I'm gonna have to answer to myself here: yes, there are adaptor cables.

Not what you're asking, but on the chance it might be helpful, some where I have one of the 9-pin variants and the DB-9 to DB-9 cable that came with it. Probably haven't seen it this millennium, but if I can turn it up I'd be happy post some part numbers for you.

The stereo port on the Onyx2 Display Generator is DB-9 female, and best I can recall the connector on the 9-pin CrystalEyes Emitter is male.

Thanks, any further information is appreciated.
BTW, I was (mistakenly) convinced that Ian Mapleson was selling CRT monitors with a sufficiently high refresh rate to make them work with shutterglasses; instead, I noticed all monitors he sells are LCD, with a refresh rate of 60 Hz, absolutely inadequate for stereoscopy. My best bet is to find a normal PC monitor that I can use. I already have a 13W3/VGA adapter cable, what monitor would you suggest to get for stereoscopy?

hahaha had to post here...worked with stereographics using crystal eyes in the 90s....got to film the grateful dead with jerry in 3d and thought i was going to tour with them for a year...until the dead replaced our hired cameramen with their own and screwed up the whole thing...ouch could have been a winner....crystal eyes worked great and the stuff we did film was unreal at the time, even today....

DevilMaster,
If you're in the USA, state of Washington. I recently got a working (but used and slightly sunlight discolored) Granite SGI Sony Trinitron that I DON'T WANT. You can HAVE IT if you come get it....has the remote as well...Near Seattle. Free if you can pick it up, makes my life easier too...win win.
