Speaking of which, anyone know anything about the status of Pete handing off nekochan to any of the members who volunteered to take it over when Pete first started grousing about the cost of the DSL line he was using to host it from his house? I believe jan-jaap and dexter were two of the volunteers, among others. I PMed jan-jaap about it but he did not reply...

I have bandwidth and disk space to spare so I would be happy to host a mirror as well, though it would only be accessible over tor.

If it isnt possible to obtain the whole archive, I would prioritize information that is essential for getting machines up and running. For example, minimum hardware needed for a given model to boot. And the compatibility between various models and IRIX versions.
Something I find myself looking for now is a compatibility matrix between different versions of Foundation and Overlay CDs for a clean install or upgrade.
I intend to scrape together what info I can and add it to the wiki as time allows, but theres a lot of info that just isnt easy to find now.

No we didn't get any Pages like that. Now that the Lost Chapters project is a thing I'm shifting my focus there for preservation of webpages that are in danger of disappearance

I contributed money to Nekochan a couple of times, I may have offered hosting space, but I don't have the ambition to be a forum operator. I had been around on Nekochan since the early days but I didn't have a special inside connection to Pete and I haven't heard from him since he pulled the plug on Nekochan.

I'm quite disappointed in how Nekochan went down without a warning. I contributed a ton of content and I had no chance to salvage any of it. I'm considering my options at the moment. Most likely I will start a site of my own, dedicated to my collection and my exploits. No forum, and no 'encyclopedia' type of site like what Gerhard Lenerz put together. Just me and my stuff and nobody that can pull the rug from underneath it.

I'm happy and grateful that Raion took it upon himself to run an IRIX forum. I wouldn't have the time or energy for it. Thanks man, keep up the good work. It's hugely appreciated and I hope it's here to stay for all of us to talk about our hobby.
