SheepShaver for IRIX?

SheepShaver for IRIX?
I would love to be able to use SheepShaver on my Octane. I know I have seen SheepShaver for IRIX somewhere, but I can't remember where (I can't seem to find a binary using Google either).

Anyone got a copy or know where I could find one?

Thanks! Smile

This is something I've been working on. It used to compile fine on IRIX, but it looks like they ripped out all the IRIX parts, so I have to put those back in

Huh... I wonder if it would be possible to get SheepShaver running on AIX?

That would be cool actually because then I could play Caesar 3 on an intellistation power.

I have GOOD NEWS and I have bad news.

The good news is I have SheepShaver compiled and working. Okay. It doesn't dump core. The bad news is it closes when it tries to draw a window. I'm still figuring out why. But I am closer to SheepShaver on our SGIs!!! Biggrin

Hopefully I'll have it working for a Turkey Day present :3

Good news is I have it keeping a window open. Bad news is there is nothing in the window. It has to be built with SDL as Xsgi doesn't have the XGA and VidMode stuff. It's doing _something_ because it pegs out my Octane's processor.

I'll futz with it more.

HAHAHA Micrex! I just noticed your signature is one of my zingers!

Well good news is now there is stuff drawing in the window. The emulation runs sloooooowwwww on my Octane 2 with a 400MhZ processor. The green, I think is because of the bit depth. But there is progress.

Oh that's great; even if it's a bit slower at the end of things something more powerful like a Tezro could handle it no problem I presume. I'm getting closer to getting my AIX box up and running so I'll be able to see about getting some stuff going too.

Btw the reason why Caesar 3 on sheep shaver would be perfect is due to the fact that compiled version of the game has support for more objects, allowing larger cities.  Roundabout way of playing it but providing a method of not having to have a mac at hand (not that there's anything wrong with owning a PPC mac but I just don't have the space).
