I brought one of these back to life recently for a friend of mine who wants to start her own business. It was an absolute dog, but after replacing the spinning rust with an SSD and doubling the RAM to 8GB it's a completely different computer. I'm currently waiting for the finishing touches to arrive: a new cable for the charger, replacements for missing screws and a new set of rubber feet.

I have the 13" 2015 MBP myself. Cannot do any upgrades on that one, but it already has 16GB RAM and a 500GB SSD so I won't have to.

2012 13" Macbook Pro 2.5Ghz i5, 8GB RAM and SSD running 10.12.6.
2010 5,1 2 x 2.93Ghz Mac Pro (All hail the cheese grater!) , 48GB ram, 3 x 1TB spinners and 250GB SSD. Brand new RX 580 8GB graphics card on 10.13.6.

I had to glue the feet back onto my wife's 2011 13" Macbook Pro, they don't last very well.
No longer active. Please do not contact me.

People seem either love or hate this machine. (I personally love it.)

It's small, extremely quiet, energy efficient and has more than enough compute and graphical power as far as I'm concerned.
How's the noise emission on those? I've always been sort of curious about it.

They’re extremely quite.

During normal use, you have to put your ear right next to it to hear it.

Under load it’s less noisy than your average laptop.

The fan emits a low frequency noise that’s not bothersome, even when it does become audible. (In the worst case, it's only very slightly audible. If you're playing music, even at low volume, you can't hear it at all)

Powermac 7100/80 with a 400mhz G3 and 136mb ram, 100Mbps ethernets and 4mb Picasso video card. SCSI2SD for boot disk, 3x external SCSI disks off a jackhammer. AV card with pass-through for G3.
