Sun SPARC T5-2 - boot failure
We got, just today, a Sun SPARC T5-2 with some pretty decent specs, only to find.... a rather bad thing: The thing *will* not* boot. running `fmadm faulty`, shows

Description : A chassis voltage supply is operating outside of the
              allowable range.

Response    : The system will be powered off. The chassis-wide service
              required LED will be illuminated.

Impact      : The system is not usable until repaired. ILOM will not allow
the system to be powered on until repaired.

Action      : Please refer to the associated reference document at
              http://support.oracle.com/msg/SPT-8000-DH for the latest
service procedures and policies regarding this diagnosis.

In short, we're lost. We have zero idea how to fix this, apparently the machine was fine when it was shipped to us. It'd be very nice to know what voltage rail is out of spec, and why, but we don't seem to be able to get that

RE: Sun SPARC T5-2 - boot failure
Not a SUN expert. Some googling I found this:

CM0 is CPU.

Could be loose from shipping, maybe a reseat...I don't know how to reseat it, hopefully you know. Also reseat PSU.

You have to issue a "repaired" command in the console to clear the error. Information on the links above on how to do that.

Yeah, We've reseated the PSUs, not sure how to reseat the CPUs though. We really don't know how to fix this

RE: Sun SPARC T5-2 - boot failure
Unfortunately T5s are prone to voltage regulator module failures which is likely what has happened here. As far as I know, Sun/Oracle always "fixes" this by replacing the whole motherboard.
You can try to clear that failure (using 'fmadm acquit' in iLOM's faultmgmt shell) which can temporarily help (for hours to days according to my experience).
