Update 9/27/2024
I know I've not been around, I got terminated from my job last month for those who don't know. I'm currently focusing on working on finding another permanent job. On top of that my daily driver decided to bite the dust. Nothing's going to happen here all the bills are paid up and everything, just thought I'd advise that if you're waiting on obligations for me such as the person who needs me to come up to NoVA and deliver him some stuff (I haven't forgotten) it's going to be a hot minute.

Technical problems should be sent my way.

So sorry to hear this happened to you. Any way to pursue anything on the locksmith avenue from networking with past clients?

Because of how it is with licensing for businesses I can't just start my own business by snapping my fingers but I'm willing to cut the red tape

I would recommend having legalzoom set up your business entity for you, I've had really good, affordable results using them.

It's also because of DCJS requirements and stuff but I got it handled.

Wait a minute, you're saying you have to go through the state Department of Criminal Justice to setup a business entity to operate from?!

In Virginia yes. Locksmithing licenses have to be done under strict licensing regimen since the 2008 reform to the law. Since I started in 2023 I need to source a compliance agent if I am to start my own business as a locksmith

Oh yeah, I didn't connect those dots. As a locksmith you pretty much have access to anything...

RE: Update 9/27/2024
Also someone recalled I lived for a while in North Carolina, asked if I was affected by the floods. I was NOT. I have indeed moved back to Eastern Virginia fully and my house I rented from 2021 to 2023 was located south of Emporia, far to the East. Not going to give the exact, but yeah, it was fine.

I know a few of our members are in Central NC/West NC, haven't heard back from any of them yet.
