Flame 7.0 install - changed my irix environment
Installing flame 7.0 went fine without a hitch.  However it totally messed up my irix root, user account environments.  What I mean is the irix 6.5.28 now looks like either a extremely light irix installation or irix 5.3 or earlier.  The tool chest has been stripped down to the bare minimum and all my desktop icons disappeared.

The display properties application from the tool chest even disappeared.

Any way I can restore irix desktop to my previous settings?

Type the following commands in the console to get your root back to normal:

chkconfig desktop on
chkconfig mediad on
chkconfig autofs on
chkconfig soundscheme on

RE: Flame 7.0 install - changed my irix environment
I’ve installed flame so many times trying to get the stone drive to work with no success.  I now have the env variables ingrained into my head ..
