Octane battery replacement

Octane battery replacement
The front plane for the octane contains the cr2032 battery that also contains the system ID.  

About a week ago, I rest the time and date as the system has been unplugged for quite a while.  Today when after booting and logging in, the date was correct, but the time was several hours off.

I assume the battery needs replacement.  My question is, will putting in a new battery rest the system ID?

It's a number in a can, not a CR2032

You're looking for the RTC Dallas on the mainboard.
