Indigo2 R10K "Platform Unsupported" IRIX Install Error
Hi all,

Sorry for the n00b question, I'm trying to install IRIX to the Indigo2 R10K system using booterizer remote install.

Command bootp():/6.5.22/Overlay/disc1/stand/fx.64 works well, I was able to make a partition on the SCSI2SD card.

But after starting the install and specifying the "/6.5.30/Overlay/disc1/dist" as a remote directory, I get an error "Platform Unsupported in this level of IRIX".

R10K is a 64bit CPU, but the IRIX image should be universal, as I understand? Google shows nothing about this error, it looks, I'm lucky again
 Smile

And just an addition, after trying to install 6.5.22 instead of 6.5.30, I got another exception "Read TLB miss exception, bad address: 0x38 Local I/O interrupt register 2: 0x0xc8<EISA,SLOT0,SLOT1>... PANIC: Unexpected exception". So maybe this system is not compatible with SCSI2SD or my SD card.

Any ideas of what can be wrong?
Tnx

The TLB exception is some kind of hardware issue.

Yeah, unfortunately your system is not compatible with 6.5.30. to be fair you're not missing much it's mostly recommended for chimera users. I don't use it on my octane or O2.

I think firstly, you should reseat all components, try with a normal SCSI drive and if you happen to have another irix box, use that for network installs. Failing that, I have others installs on the wiki. Check the top bar.

Thanks all for help. 6.5.30 shows a "Platform Unsupported" error on Indigo2 indeed, 6.5.22 loader works.

As for the "EISA,SLOT0,SLOT1" errors, it looks a SCSI2SD issue.
