SpoilerWe've updated our policies to prohibit GMail registration. 

This has been done in response to multiple user complaints of:

Confirmation/password/mass mails not arriving (they aren't bouncing, and not going to Spam)


Thus, to prevent work for us, we've disabled future sign ups via GMail.

Here's an alternative list of services that work:

Proton Mail
Yahoo
Yandex
Zoho hosted mail
Outlook 365
Outlook.com
ISP accounts
Corporate exchange accounts

etc.

You'll continue with massive spam registration , every day. It's a common situation for all forums , every day. The solution is not start prohibit gmail account, to reduce add a strong captcha verification in registration page.

I also think this is not a good way to move forward, it's an easy way, but will cause more issues...
Do you want to talk about the mail setup in private and see if we can find a solid solution ?

We use Cleantalk. This is not for spam

This is because Google won't accept or deliver forum notifications .

I get why you decided to not worry about it, but it is annoying that I have to use a different email address for this forum than I do any other site on the internet (with the exception of NeoGAF, who also don't allow Gmail, but then they don't allow any free email providers).
