IRIS Indigo -- 5.3 Network setup and MAC Address woes

RE: IRIS Indigo -- 5.3 Network setup and MAC Address woes
Well that did it, but it now says that it is a bad Ethernet address.. Also in the link that you posted, it mentions that the ethernet address is on the chassis, maybe that's just for a Indy and not an Indigo..

As far as trying this: http://wiki.irixnet.org/Indy

There is no fill command in IRIX 5.3

So that's progress. Now try an address starting with 08:00:69 and see what you get.

Oh, and the "fill" command would be needed in the prom, not in IRIX.

Ok, well it took that format without barking an error, but now the machine looks like it is stuck trying to resolve it's own hostname or something.. A few of the guides out there have different steps/settings, so sticking with one and changing everything to see if that works.

All good and finally up and running.. It's running a SCSI2SD v6 with two 8GB partitions.. Now time to load some ancient software on the R3K.
