Scheduled Maintenance (MyBB Upgrade)

Scheduled Maintenance (MyBB Upgrade)
Greetings,

I am writing to say that the site will be down for a major MyBB 1.8.x upgrade. I will be upgrading the board to the latest version of MyBB, and as this is a major system upgrade I may have to roll back if it breaks the forum in any meaningful way. BootBB, one of our old themes, is no longer going to be updated after this next version bump; I'll be focusing entirely on the three CrossBB forms. Check in UserCP under options if you're unaware of the theming options.

I will also have to check the http gateway against this, so the site could be down for a considerable amount of time, including up to an hour.

Because of this, I will schedule this for 12AM, Saturday 6/26 Eastern Time. This puts it at very early morning for most of Europe, and very late for the Eastern seaboard. Please do not be alarmed if the board has a closed message.

RE: Scheduled Maintenance (MyBB Upgrade)
All upgrades have been completed. The upgrade appears to have been largely uneventful. If anyone should notice any new bugs or issues, please open a Bug Report for it.

Your window is not wide enough. I can push the margins out some to try and alleviate the issue, but it's not a coding issue.

In Firefox, it's as wide as it can be.

Here it is in Safari, set to as wide as it can be:

Is there not a way to left-justify that top bar?

Otherwise, I like the new look! Smile

It looks weird if I do that. However on Brave and others it newlines rather than overlapping. I'm going to look into options.

Every theme should newline.

I scooched it over a little. That's definitely a bug in the Apple versions of your browser, as Blink, Webkit and Gecko based browsers on Windows and BSD don't have this issue.

The navbar is now annoyingly off-centre for some of us, but this is mostly a test to see if it fixes your issue somewhat. I'll be setting it back and perhaps deploying alternates to appease this problem.

Thanks! It's now fine: (I know that PC's are most commonly used here, but there are those of us who do use Apple machines.)

Is it not possible to align it with the "User CP" tab, as it won't look out of place then, as it will line up with the forum? And then it won't look out of place.

Is it not possible to make it shift the forum downwards, rather than simply pasting over the tabs beneath it?

I've edited this image to show what it would look like:

RE: Scheduled Maintenance (MyBB Upgrade)
If I make it inline with the others it messes up the axis for people on higher res screens (I am using a 2K screen, for instance) and it looks distorted.

That being said, I can create small duplications and customizations. Lemme set everything back and then I'll clone that theme and set it to be inline.

Ok Irinikus -- Check LightBB-alt-Inline.

Others, please make a thread in Bug Reports describing if there's any CSS alterations you prefer.
