Yes, it will work. O2 needs 3.5" form factor with 1" height (2,54cm).

O2 uses SCA for the internal HDD so yes, I see no problem with it. I for myself have a lot of similar 9GB, 18GB and 36GB drives laying around and can assure they work both in O2 and Octane, both as system and/or option disks.

The O2 (or Octane, etc) can use the highest capacity parallel SCSI drives that were ever made, in the 300 to 320 GB range. For higher capacity you would need to use an external storage solution.

You can TECHNICALLY USE ANY SCA 80 SCSI drive in an O2, the only issue is that it be 1" tall (low profile) and not make too much noise or heat. But even if it does make too much heat..it would still work...just not for too long. U160/U320/U640 are ALL single-ended backwards compatible by design.

If you have an R5200 O2, that normally means you placed the drive in a second slot and not the first (booting slot). Not that it matter too much. I'm a stickler for having the default IDs because when your RTC battery fails...things will still work. If you have special IDs...then you have to struggle to get it booting again (with as little as I use my machines, isn't worth it).
