looking for an sgi o2 hat (the black plastic piece on top) and fan cover
Does anyone have a hat or fan cover they could part with? just bought a o2 that's in pretty rough shape plastically but it does work most of the parts of there except for the hat and the fan cover. I can do without a fan cover but it would be nice to have that hat. otherwise ill have to make one and it probably wont look super amazing. Also does anyone know or can they measure the size of the cd rom rubber drive belts? they are dirt cheap and it would be nice to have the cd drive working. On the plus side it boots and works perfectlySmile

I don't have any spares myself but I will keep on the lookout.

This reminds me I do need to get back to my PSU rebuild project. It's been a good 7 months on that...

O2 Skull caps and fan covers do come up on eBay pretty regularly (though for full boat retail, but not horrible mind mind). But they aren't rare. I do have a spare CD ROM tray face from an O2 myself should anyone have an interest.

darn I might be interested tho my fave plate has a big crack and chunk taken out of it. I was thinking of fixing it with epoxy but a retention clip is also busted. Once it gets here I’ll assess it and see if I also need that part.
Ya I found parts on random websites but they sure want some chaching for an old plastic piece.
