can anyone explain what this is?
see red circle on indigo2 cpu board. never seen that before on any cpu, maybe this was normal back then? 

also my other pictures of my sgi o2. any reason why there is a name on the kit that has mario on it? it was an unopened sgi o2 base unit.

Factory rework is VERY common on SGI boards. I've seen a least 3 examples on my Machines. Likely that modification is a pull up resistor that was an oversight on the design to prevent a signal from floating.
