We have lift off!!! There was one fan (fan 4 - it's one of the ones that cools the graphics card in case anyone cares..) that had come out, reseeded it and all is working on. Threw in FireWire card and audio card.. Just happened to have a Maxtor One Touch sitting around, so formatting that now.. Next up to fix the ethernet jack that connects to my router so that I can get stuff loaded on to the beast.

There is < nogfxkbrd > (don't trust my spelling) but I forget what it does. Agree with you, the Fuel is a persnickety little fellow :-(  the O3 series is attractive because of the speeds and extra capabilities but I sure do love me an Octane. They just work !

"setenv console d" in PROM will remove the keyboard/mouse dependency.
