Messing around in Pro Engineer

RE: Messing around in Pro Engineer
Thanks for all the pointers! Smile

I will take a detailed look into splines, (I already have an idea as to how I will go about constructing the spline properly with square teeth!)

As @jan-jaap would say: "The devil's in the details!"

I want to create a product that is as accurate as possible, while still looking good!

I don't know if I'll get to it today, but I'll have something to show soon.

I'm enjoying this thread. Can you render the assembly in context where it will be used?

I'm just playing around for now, but will probably end up building a complete turbocharger. (This is my very first model in CAD, so I have allot to learn along the way!)

On the other hand, I really wouldn't mind building up an complete mechanical timepiece! (I would really love to have been a watchmaker!!!)

Thanks man! Smile

I will happily do so, but I have no idea how to do it at this point. I'll have to see if I can come across some tutorials, however, most tutorials cover much newer versions of Pro engineer!

The wildfires didn't really change much all the way up to 4 and maybe beyond. 2 and 3 are identical in the cad part, all the changes were made in the mfg part. It's now called "Creo Parametric" and probably is still the same software under the hood ...

This is all I've got on animation :

oh poop. No pdf attachments ... is there some sort of text attachment that is allowed ?

edit : Lucky I could find it online

It's not super-helpful :(

Here's a more straightforward one, if you can deal with the shit html code. How can a person screw up html these days ?
