'rinikus - beg to differ. This guy's ideas are stupid, everything he's doing can be done easier, faster and more intuitively with a Spaceball or Spacemouse. They've been around for decades ! They are also better because you don't need two hands, you can use one hand on the ball and the other on the cursor to pick out features.
This is like reinventing the wheel, except making it square.
If you don't have one, get yourself a space ball. I believe even with a Tezzer you'll have to get the serial version, but that's okay, works exactly the same.
That'd be a nice project, by the way - a usb spaceball driver. They already exist for Loonix so should be somewhat feasible.
3dconnexion already made a USB driver for the spaceball for AIX, so I would imagine anything would be able to run it at that point.
I've always wanted one the silver-badged IBM ones to match my computer, but now I have more of a reason to find when when I didn't previously as there's actually demo software for AIX to play around with.
