Some CPUs Have Old Firmware
On boot, my Onyx2 indicates some of the nodeboards have old firmware and instructs me to update. How do I go about doing that?

RE: Some CPUs Have Old Firmware
As far as I know, the Onyx2 automatically updates it’s firmware when you install IRIX.

I updated the firmware on my Tezro’s node board using the flash utility. So maybe you can do the same with the Onyx2, if it’s not carried out automatically.

In the Tezro’s case, none of the firmware is updated automatically, so I had to update the L1 controller, prom and node board firmware manually.

Just run 'flash', nothing more nothing less.

Without args it should update anything downrev.

If you want to know what else it can do: http://nixdoc.net/man-pages/IRIX/man1/flash.1.html
