RE: Anyone got a BeBox?
He's in Geneva, Switzerland. So prepare for a long and expensive shipment!

I have used a prototype bebox once. It was something else.

I'm the system admin of this site. Private security technician, licensed locksmith, hack of a c developer and vintage computer enthusiast.

https://contrib.irixnet.org/raion/ -- contributions and pieces that I'm working on currently.

Technical problems should be sent my way.

RE: Anyone got a BeBox?
I would be willing to sell mine, depending on the price.
It's a dual 133MHz.

If anyone has a suggestion what these are worth, tell me.
I am not in for a rip-off, just a fair price. Will ship worldwide, if the buyer pays for the shipping costs.

hah yea honestly I have no idea what they are worth but I’ve always wanted one. Does it boot/work/etc?I was thinking like $1,000 shipped if it’s in good working condition, but I’m not sure if that’s high or low Smile

RE: Anyone got a BeBox?
well, a dual 66MHz apparently went for 2000 EUROs (like 2500 USD) on eBay in Dec 2020.
Since my BeBox is in better condition and the better 133MHz model, your offer does not seem fair.

I would definitely be interested in one of these at a later stage, as they definitely have a coolness factor to them!

I was just kind of taking a shot in the dark, didn’t know what they were going for. God it seems like the entire vintage computer market has skyrocketed in the past few year. I’ve been collecting sun and sgi and next stuff for like 15 years and now I look at eBay and everything is way higher then I’ve ever seen it.

RE: Anyone got a BeBox?
I just stumbled upon this thread while searching for some bebox related history. Nice some are still interested in these blinken lights.

I've still got my Bebox PPC 2x66Mhz, first delivered without front bezel, later upgraded with the 'newer' mainboard and front bezel.

Indeed it's important with these machines to keep the original graphics card and network card with it, and to a lesser extent the mouse and keyboard. Hardware support was quite limited because development was focussed on getting the OS complete.

I've kept all the original developer newsletters from before the release of the developer machines, the software releases and most of the documentation too. So if anyone want to know anything, give a shout.

I always used the metrowerks tools on PPC, so I'm not sure. But I can check when I get the box from the attic.
It might be on one of the CDs in there, or in my old download archive.
