And, yup, went and picked it up this afternoon Smile Still in good working order, still sounds great, and the guy put one of those backlit LCD kits in it to boot.

Not as many synths as some folks, but I have:

Moog Little Phatty
Moog Taurus Pedals
Yamaha TX817 (on permanent loan)

And, the one thing that I'm sure no one else here has:

An ondes Martenot (Ondéa by Audities, Canada)

Owned a DX7IIFD until about a year ago, but ended up selling it. That was a mistake.
I also regularly work with various modular synths.

Ooh, the Martenot would be a fun thing to play with...

I mostly do guitar or via computer but I've got this gear kicking around:
  • Peavey DPM3+
  • Yamaha TG55
  • Yamaha QX5
  • Korg Electribe EMX-1
I do most stuff using Reason 10 on my PC. Don't really have a lot of room to have my physical gear setup in a convenient fashion.

:Indy: R5000SC/180, 256MB RAM, IRIX 6.5.22 | :Indy: (spare) R4400SC/200, 64MB RAM | Sun SPARCstation 5, Sun Netra X1, Digital Server 1000, piles of old Macs and PCs
I run the preterhuman.net collection of sites (text files, old software, computing wiki, etc). I also make retro computing videos.

I found this video to be very interesting:

I personally nave no experience with synths, so I watched this, and it definitely looks to be an interesting hobby that I might pursue!

It's a lot of fun, although it's even more of a money pit than vintage computers Biggrin If you're interested, you can try out a variety of free virtual instruments designed along the lines of conventional analog synthesizers, and see if it strikes your fancy - Kamioooka is a nice simple one to get started with, although the sound is a little generic/nondescript.

Of course, once you've gotten a taste for it, you'll inevitably gravitate to hardware instruments in order to have all the controls immediately to-hand, and then you'll be picking up random keyboards off eBay or trade forums just to see if you like them a bit better than the ones you already have, and did I mention I picked up an Arturia DrumBrute and a Korg Minilogue recently? Wink Fun stuff on both counts Biggrin

I really like the concept of having modular synths, the real problem is: "Where the hell am I going to find space for all of this stuff!!!" Smile
