Error while installing IRIX 6.5 on MAME

Question  Error while installing IRIX 6.5 on MAME
Good day all,

First of all, many thanks to Ryan and other people who made IRIX emulation possible.
I have installed IRIX 5.3 without any problem and trying to do the same with IRIX 6.5.

Boot from CD (Installation Tools June 98) works fine, but when I am trying to run the following command:
boot -f dksc(0,6,8)sashARCS dksc(0,6,7)stand/fx.ARCS
MAME hangs and then crashes with the following log (see attached image)

Could anyone suggest me how to install IRIX 6.5 properly?

Hello! I've actually been having this problem but it was actually with 5.3. I actually never got that to work and I sadly don't have an exact solution. If you just want IRIX and don't need to install it, someone in the "IRIX emulation is here!" thread actually made a CHD with 6.5 installed. This with some commands for the commands monitor should get you to an IRIX desktop.
Links:
https://forums.irixnet.org/thread-1012-page-2.html (Thanks dexter1)
and here are the commands:
setenv monitor h
setenv -f eaddr 08:00:69:12:34:56
(thanks shrek for those)
Using these actually got me to a desktop. I also recommend lowering the CPU overclock in MAME to create a more usable experience. I really hope this works for you as it is an exciting time for SGI Emulation.

First of all, thank you for your help. I don't know how it exactly works, but renaming *.img to *.iso helped me to boot and install IRIX 6.5.

That's great news. Did you finally get IRIX to a desktop and if so, how did it run?

Sorry for late reply, I was in Austria so I did not have time to watch the forum.
Yes, I have successfully installed IRIX, and got desktop after restart.
I have run many applications (Acrobat, Netscape etc) all of them work just fine, the only problem that there is no internet here, but it is not a desktop issue.

Performance was good because of 32 GB RAM and Core i7-8700 CPU on board.
