I've got 11i v1 from Sep 2005. Would that work?

According to this page: https://www.openpa.net/hp-ux_unix.html#hpux11i the 11i seems compatible (64-bit PA-RISC).
But according to this page: https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ecomcat/hpcat...S9044A.htm only the following versions are supported:
- HP-UX 11i Technical Computing Operating Environment
- HP-UX 11.00 ACE9911
- HP-UX 10.20 ACE9912

But I'll try your 11i version : -)

all versions of 11i V1 (aka: 11.11) will work. If you don't care for graphics, you could even install 11i V2 (aka: 11.23) via serial console.
There are different versions of 11i V1 like the technical computing operating environment (TCOE) or mission critical operating environment (MCOE), which differ in the amount of software included. The MCOE is the full shebang with everything. 11i V2 only supports servers, but will run fine on workstations, if you can live without graphics. Whatever HP-UX you install, make sure you get an "unsecured" applications CD or DVD. HP-UX comes with applications (ANSI C, etc.) that generally need codewords to install. There are some releases for developers floating around the net that do not require any codewords.

Found a Gopher site for HPUX 11:
gopher://xepb.org/1/unix/hpux/

you can typically access gopher sites from command line with 'lynx'.
Or use a gopher proxy to access from a regular browser (but may not like large xfers):
