IRIX net install problem Indy

IRIX net install problem Indy
Hello,
I'm in the process of trying to perform a net install on my fixed Indy. I ran through the FX partitioner and setup the SCSI drive per SGI documentation. When loading the unix.IP22 in the 6.5.22 mini root i get an error mounting the root device errno 1011. Did i somehow miss a step ?

-Thanks, SK

Which Bootserver do you use, e.g. Booterizer, Irixify or DINA? I think there's something wrong with that.

In most cases it might also help to run a
unsetenv netaddr
in the Command Monitor before trying to netboot.

Please provide further details, we will find a solution Smile

RE: IRIX net install problem Indy
Hi, I’m using an Ubuntu VM with inetd to boot the Indy. Ran fx.ARCS and partitioned the disk then did a boot of unix.IP22 from the 6.5.22 miniroot. Going through the install here http://techpubs.spinlocksolutions.com/ir...linux.html

Try to use installation tools of the base 6.5 miniroot, not the 6.5.22 ones. The error 1011 is mentioned here : https://comp.sys.sgi.admin.narkive.com/s...not-loaded.

Check if a resetenv in the PROM helps, followed by re-setting the netaddr and try booting again.

There also is the possibility of having done something wrong in fx or the disk is not healthy.
