I think i found an IRIX software repository

Re: I think i found an IRIX software repository
I wouldn't get your hopes up too far - as has been noted, the FTP doesn't work and only a handful of the files are available over HTTP, and I haven't been able to get ahold of the site maintainers over any of the addresses I could find. Still, there is some stuff there, so there's that.

Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73
Synthesizers: Roland JX-10/SH-09/MT-32/D-50, Yamaha DX7-II/V50/TX7/TG33/FB-01, Korg MS-20 Mini/ARP Odyssey/DW-8000/X5DR, Ensoniq SQ-80, E-mu Proteus/2, Nord Lead 2, Behringer Model D

I've just clicked on about 10 random links on that page and every single one downloaded?

Yes, all the links on the page work. What doesn't work is the FTP, which lists more things than the web version does but won't allow them to be downloaded.

Re: I think i found an IRIX software repository
Shake 3.5 is up at my now somewhat famous IRIX download link. PM me if you don't have the link yet. The license is in a text file in /var/flexlm, you'll have to copy its content to your license.dat or license.lic (which is what it is on mine). It's not a tardist, just a tar gz that you can extract from the root of your IRIX filesystem, it puts everything into a top level directory named NothingRealSHAKE, with the exception of a symbolic link from /usr/bin/ to the executable. I didn't develop this, the guy I bought my Octane from did, and I don't have contact with him anymore (he went deep undergound due to some issues with ebay), so if it doesn't work on yours let me know and I'll see if maybe there's something else on my system that also needs to be included...

Project: Temporarily lost at sea
Plan: World domination! Or something...

Has anyone successfully installed Barco Creator from the image there? I remember coming across this a while back and tried to get this going without luck.

You need a license, and licenses were hostid-locked. However, I have a patched ISO which does away with the hostid-checks, and installs on any machine using the same license. Is there any IRIX-ftp or other site, I would be happy to upload it.

OK, I uploaded the patched ISO w/license, we'll see if it becomes available.

Re: I think i found an IRIX software repository
I'll look through it tomorrow, I have a lot of stuff to go through this week

I'm the system admin of this site. Private security technician, licensed locksmith, hack of a c developer and vintage computer enthusiast.

https://contrib.irixnet.org/raion/ -- contributions and pieces that I'm working on currently.

https://codeberg.org/SolusRaion -- Code repos I control

Technical problems should be sent my way.
