I get a lot of email from people begging to download software. I try to help folks who are working on actual projects and aren't just looking to boost their standings on vetusware or betaarchive or whatever site, but I don't always get it right.

I get why you do this, and it goes without saying that you're well within your rights to handle the software you own, in any way you see fit. Still grinds my gears like almost nothing else in the vintage computing community.
