Sorry about your troubles. Just peeked at the monitor spec sheet and it seems to support sync on green so, assuming the computer is outputting a resolution and frequency the monitor can lock in to, it should be able to display the PROM menu when connected to the Indigo2.

If you are invested in SGI gear you may wish to procure or fabricate a serial cable. Your Indigo2 computer would have two serial connectors on the rear panel which can be used to troubleshoot the boot process, or even connect to it during normal operation. With this information you should be able to connect to the Indigo2 without a monitor and figure out what is going on.
