The cable will be 30 twisted pairs, plus or minus. There are two ways of terminating such connectors, either by soldering every pin manually, which is time consuming, painstaking, but requires no special tooling; or by using a crimp tool in an arbor with expensive "mass termination" jigs.

Thanks for the lead on the cable, looking up the proper name of the cable was on my todo list. That title is promising, but then the picture and description are of DB37 to V.35.. I did find some premade LFH60 M-M cables, but with a Cisco pinout*. It would probably be easier to snip and rewire the cable rather than soldering the connectors. I'd love confirmation of what the pinout is, I assume straight through, but can't find any confirmation.
