I was using my O2+ yesterday evening with great fun, trying the new DevilutionX port and stuff. It was running fine ... I started DevilutionX, watched the in-game video intro, and the video froze. The machine was usable, I could kill the process, but got strange video corruption on screen so decided to reboot the machine, thinking the SDL port was not really ready for prime time ...
The machine never rebooted. It just shut down to a red led, no chime, no screen. I tried a few unplugging/replugging to no avail. I disconnected everything and let it rest for the night.
Today is the same. Fan starts as soon as I plug the power, red led stays on, power button has no action ... I tried a "regular" O2 mainboard in the O2+ case, works fine. I cleaned the board, reseated ram, tried without ram, without flat panel adapter ... nothing.
The "Hardware Reference" suggests "Replace CPU module" but I guess the three months warranty is now outÂ
Does anybody have a suggestion ? May a dead Dallas RTC chip have that kind of effect ? Thanks !
