Poll: (PSUs without rubber feet): Do you want/expect all new rubber feet with your PSU purchase? - You do not have permission to vote in this poll.
Yes, you need to include a replacement set of rubber feet since the rebuilt PSU is missing it's feet!

No, rubber feet aren't part of the PSU, people will find their own options, if they want to do anything about it!

Opinion Poll: Indy feet, how important are they to you?

Opinion Poll: Indy feet, how important are they to you?
Okay, odd tittle, I know, but it will make sense in a moment.

So I was just about ready to start posting rebuilt Indy Nidec PSUs...when I realized I forgot to get a new set of feet for them.  I had found a great example on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/303502028377) that would have been PERFECT to redo an entire Indy with... but that seller is out and I cannot find any stock that match the original Indy feet anywhere.  I also cannot find this eBay 3M RNG100 rubber feet stock anywhere that's not...well...sleazy/seedy.  So I'm trying to find something else (if anyone KNOWS how to get the above example of stock, let me know!).

I have two options I've come up with. I buy a roll of 3M Bumpon SJ5510 rollstock: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/deta...10/3866085
which would give you a chamfered 1/2" width foot stock that is 3.88mm high that you can cut yourself to length (Indy is ~1" per rubber foot).  It would be rectangular but look fairly good.  I could just cut a foot of it off and include it with the rebuilt PSU and people could chose to cut it and redo ALL the Indy feet they have (if any).  I wouldn't apply it myself in case the customer doesn't want to use it.  They wouldn't match the height of the old feet, so it's a total replacement.

Or

I can just say, "not my problem" and sell PSUs without feet.

I'd really like to just offer a nice option to redo ALL Indy feet by providing the bumpon rollstock...but maybe some won't like the look (I wouldn't fault them).  But I think this rollstock is the nicest option I've found.

You HAVE to buy a huge roll so even sharing this doesn't mean people will run out and buy these for feet because you have to buy a lot.  I don't mind buying it as I have 3-4 Indys that need all new feet, plus I wouldn't mind including it for others with their PSU buy to redo all their feet with.

What say you?  Am I making a huge deal out of nothing, or because the PSU is PART of the stability on an Indy, the missing feet are considered crude/rude?

Let me know what you think, I'm interested and would like to see how people feel.  I'd be willing to expand my offering to both FREE feet stock for PSUs buyers and low-cost sections of the stock for people who just want feet and like this option.

Thanks!
