My personal opinion is that the XVR-1200 wasn't given as an option, as this machine predated it by a year.

Also, the XVR-1200 was a pretty powerful (and expensive) workstation graphics card.  The V250 was intended as a server that would normally run headless or maybe with minimal graphics capability.  I suspect that Sun didn't bother testing such a configuration since it didn't make sense for their product positioning.
