Up for sale today are some rebuilt and some original Octane(2) lightbars. I have 6 (total) to sell, once they are gone, I’ll have to wait for more to come up in the market (unknown timeframe). I have two kinds, rebuilds and OEM (still working, untouched).
Four have been rebuilt, two still work so they are OEM, untouched inside (unknown remaining lifespan).
- The rebuilt price is $52 USD if payment is sent via PayPal (Please select “paying for an item or service.” During checkout)
- The rebuilt price is $50 if payment is sent through your bank with Zelle.
- In person payment in cash is fine as well and I will reduce cost by the shipping amount (unless I’m driving to a local meeting place, then I will not subtract shipping costs).
If you want more than one, since shipping is the same for many lightbars (and I only have 6) I’ll subtract $5 on the above per item price for each ADDITIONAL lightbar in the same order.
If you want to sell me your OLD lightbar, intact, with no broken parts – except for failed bulbs, I can do that, either in the form of a reduction on your lightbar purchase or as an outright purchase.
Sale price includes USPS Priority Mail domestic shipping; international shipping will be calculated separately and the price increased to cover the difference in USPS Priority shipping rates (at that time).
Each rebuilt lightbar has been cleaned and rebuilt with OEM-like incandescent Bulbs (mimicking the original bulb appearance, color, and intensity), each was bench tested for BOTH the functionality of its red error LED and a visual check of the intensity and measured power draw of the new bulbs (to check it’s within specification and both light up). Every lightbar is bench tested regardless of repair.
I’ll give you a 3 month bulb warranty (Red LED not covered) on rebuilds, if your bulb(s) fail inside warranty, I’ll do the repair and send you back the lightbar and you’ll get a 30 day warranty on the repair (or the reminder of the your original 3 months…whichever is LONGER). To be even MORE fair, I’ll reimburse your shipping label cost, of up to $10, to send me the failed lightbar. I don’t think you’ll have an issue, so I’m confident for this price, you shouldn’t have to ship it back to me. I’ll reimburse your shipping when I ship out the repair, via the same method you used to pay me.
Since these rebuild bulbs are new and unused stock, they are supposed to have an estimated lifespan of ~3 years of use (estimated continuous use), for a collector running a system every now and then, it’s likely you’ll never need a replacement. If you’re using an Octane for actual full-time work, expect the bulbs to give you between 2-3 years before failure.
Since these are real bulbs and NOT LEDs they will give the Octanes the warm glow they had right out of the box from SGI, however the bulbs will eventually burn out…just like the originals did.
Again, these are real bulbs and therefor are hot, I’m not responsible for you burning yourself on these bulbs nor any damage caused by the heat these generate. I’ve confirmed they are within the same power draw specs as the original bulbs used by SGI, they don’t produce any more heat than the originals.
