Proliant DL360 G4P memory fail
Just venting, not really expecting any assistance, but hey if you know something please chime in!

It has 6 memory slots, each of which has a little yellow LED that lights up when the system detects a RAM failure. The first four slots work fine, but putting any memory into slots 5 and 6, immediately on powering up the yellow failure LEDs all light up on all six slots and it puts out the beep code for memory failure (yes, the memory I put in all six slots is known good).

For what it's worth, the RAM sticks are new PC2-3200 DDR2 400 SDRAM 2GB, and the CPUs are two new dual-core Intel xeons, 2.8 GHz/800 MHz - 2 x 2 MB L2.

This is a brand new, never used old stock server. Annoying! Mad Triumph Scream Angry

Project: Temporarily lost at sea
Plan: World domination! Or something...
