I am German and my English is not that good, I wish to apologize forefront and please, bear with me.
I am new in this forum and but not entirely to SGI, even though I did not use them for nearly two decades. In the early 2000 I stored two
in my parents garage, and after that time, one's PSU and motherboard is not working anymore and from the second I do not get a video output. I surely replaced the clock chip and I do hear the jingle. I connected a R5000SC and a R4600 CPU module onto the board, both deliver the same result. I also tried a 8Bit and a XZ graphics card, all combinations, with 256MB and 128MB RAM installed, I just get the jingle. No hard drive starting, no video out. Do I miss something?
I would be very happy if someone could help me here, as I do not know where I should look next to solve the problem. Does anybody know what could cause this and point me in the right direction?
